Channing Tatum is born in the United States in a small city in Alabama. he has a very diverse ancestry which as African, French, Irish, and Native American. The family of Channing Tatum moved to Mississippi when he was still six years old, but till this day he visits Alabama because his mothers family are still living there, he grew up next to the Mississippi River in the Bayous area, he said that he really enjoyed his rural childhood where there was rattlesnakes and alligators. His almost daily routine was to go fishing, chase animals and joining the football league.

All these hobbies that Channing Tatum was doin, made him a very athletic person, when he grew up he not only played football but also baseball, track, association football, and practicing in martial arts. Tatum said that his biggest distraction in school while growing up was girls. He attended Gaither High School in Florida. when he was done with his sophomore year there was two oppertunities infront of him, either go to military school or a private school, so he chose going to a private school, he attended Tampa Catholic High School in Florida. In the year 1998 he graduated and was the most athletic person in the scool according to the sudent votes. due to his athleticness he was granted with a scholarship to Glenville State College in West Virginia. but he turned down the scholarship because he has lost his interest in playing American football.
